Who We Are
Amateur Radio Emergency Service is a program of the American Radio Relay League, the National Association for Amateur Radio.
Our members come from Hillsborough County, from the city of Manchester, and from surrounding communities.

Our training is based on proficient operating practice, on ARRL guidance including elements of the national Incident Command System (ICS), and on the requirements of supported organizations.
We welcome amateur radio operators interested in learning or developing existing skills in tactical voice communications, digital communications, operating in the field, or operating from home.
On-air training net is ordinarily held on Monday evenings at 1900hr.
Classroom or Zoom training is ordinarily held on the second Wednesday of each month.

All members are encouraged to become proficient in one or more communications modes.
- Tactical voice communications.
- Voice messaging using radiograms and ICS forms.
- Digital messaging with the Narrow Band Emergency Messaging Software.
- Winlink email over radio to any valid email address world-wide.
Voice and digital Net Control operations.
Mobile and portable communications equipment configurations.
Broadband microwave communications.
