From Paul – KC1KMM
Next week’s net will be held on Monday April 14th at 1800. I will be NCS. We’re going to do a little “frequency hopping” as part of the training so I wanted to give everyone the time to prepare.
- We’ll start out with a roll call as usual on our primary repeater (W1AKS).
- Switch to our newly assigned “back-up” repeater, as announced at the last meeting (NN1PA UHF Goffstown) for another roll call and radio checks;
- Then switch to the recently-tweaked (NN1PA VHF Goffstown) repeater for a third roll call and radio checks. If comms are strong enough on this repeater, we will remain on this repeater for the remainder of the net. If there are problems, we will return to our primary repeater for the remainder of the net. Anyone who gets “lost” during the changing of the repeaters should return to the primary repeater (W1AKS). I will check there for any “missing” members at approximately 1815.
We will continue our practice with tactical message passing on whichever repeater we end up on (Semper Gumby). I will be crafting a brief tactical message to pass to all members which will require individual replies. This will be done first via voice, then repeated via Fldigi for those with Fldigi capability. I’ll review this during the net. As always, you can check-in from anywhere you like; challenge yourself. If you’d like to check-in from one of our served agency sites, please let me know in time to make arrangements.
